The short version: everything you look at through the magnifier (camera images, frozen photos, text read out loud) is processed entirely on your phone and is never sent anywhere. Easy Magnifier asks for no account, collects no name, address or contacts, and sells no data to anyone.

1. Our approach: everything on the device

Easy Magnifier works without a user account and without an application server. Camera images, frozen photos, text recognition (Apple Vision, built into iOS) and read-aloud (the iOS speech synthesiser) all run entirely locally on your device, including with no internet connection. We have no access to what you look at or read.

2. Data we process, and why

We process a limited amount of data on the following legal bases: performance of the contract (providing the service and managing your subscription) and our legitimate interest (improving the app).

A. Subscriptions and purchases (RevenueCat / Apple)

We use RevenueCat to manage the entitlements tied to your free trial and your subscription. RevenueCat processes the purchase receipts provided by Apple to validate your subscription, associated with an anonymous installation identifier. We only have access to transaction data: no banking information (card number, bank details) is collected or stored by Easy Magnifier — payment is handled exclusively by the App Store.

B. Analytics and improvement (PostHog)

To understand how Easy Magnifier is used and to spot bugs, we collect usage data (screens viewed, features used, device model, iOS version) through PostHog. This data is associated with a random identifier (pseudonymised) and cannot identify you. Easy Magnifier never collects your name or email address — so we have no way of linking these statistics to a person. PostHog's servers are located in the European Union.

C. Local notifications

If you allow it, the app schedules local reminders (for example the day before your free trial ends). These notifications are generated on your device: no token is sent to any server. You can turn them off at any time in your phone's settings.

D. Advertising

Easy Magnifier contains no advertising SDK and displays no adverts. We never show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, because we do not collect your advertising identifier (IDFA) and we carry out no tracking across apps or websites. Where we advertise the app, measurement relies on Apple's own SKAdNetwork, which reports aggregated and anonymised data.

3. Sharing and processors

We never sell your data. To run the app we rely on the following partners:

RevenueCat (servers in the United States): technical management of subscriptions.
PostHog (servers in the European Union): product analytics, pseudonymised data.

For transfers outside the EU, we ensure these partners provide an adequate level of protection through standard contractual clauses.

4. Your rights, retention and deletion

Retention: pseudonymised statistics and transaction data are kept for as long as necessary for the purposes described above.
Deletion: since Easy Magnifier creates no account, deleting the app removes all local data. Note: deleting the app does not cancel your subscription — that is managed in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Your rights: you have rights of access, rectification and portability under the GDPR and UK GDPR. To exercise them: hello@loupefacile.fr. Because the statistics are pseudonymised, we cannot link them to an identified person.
California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

5. Data security

All communication between the app and our partners (RevenueCat, PostHog) is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.

6. Protection of minors

Easy Magnifier is a visual aid with no sensitive content, rated 4+. We knowingly collect no data capable of identifying anyone, minor or adult.

7. Health and responsibility

Easy Magnifier is a visual aid for everyday comfort. It is not a medical device and replaces neither prescription glasses nor advice from an eye care professional.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this document to reflect changes in the app. Significant changes will be signalled through an app update.
